The Women of Mexilog Fest 2024 - pt. 3
July 3, 2024Day 6 - 8 of the Women’s participation in the Mexilog Fest 2024. The women continue showing their grace upon the waves and making sure to nail that fancy footwork to make it to the finals.
The Amigos Cup was also done in the final days of the competition. This was a mixed gender relay race where surfers had to paddle out catch a wave, come back to the beach and hand off the board to their teammate. The fancy footwork wasn’t necessarily needed here but speed was definitely the superpower on hand. The girls racing out into the lineup to catch a wave or party wave back to the beach.
Sophia Culhane, Lily May Whatley, Sive Jarrard, and Keali Kanullo were the Women’s Finalist for the MexilogFest 2024. They put in the fancy footwork and style for the last heat of the women’s contest. The surf died down but was still 2 to 3 foot. In the end Keani Kanullo was the contest champion followed by Sophia Culhane in 2nd, Lily Whatley in 3rd and Sive Jarrard in 4th.
